Atef Sadek – Chairman

Atef Sadek is the Chairman of Sahara Technical Institute and the Chairman of SAPESCO Africa, and before that he was the CEO of SAPESCO since he joined SAPESCO in July 2014. He was General Manager, and Managing Director at El Waha Petroleum Company (representing Sahara Oil & Gas). Atef has 38 years of experience in the petroleum field. He spent 24 years in GUPCO petroleum Company in different key positions (Engineering Gen. Mgr., Gulf of Suez Gen. Mgr., and Deputy Operation Gen. Mgr. & Board Member). He was the Chairman & Managing Director for Qarun Petroleum Company, Agiba Petroleum Company, Belayim Petroleum Company, and Tharwa Petroleum Company. He also was a Board Member of the Egyptian General Petroleum Company (EGPC), Enpi, and PMS. He also was the First Undersecretary for Mineral Resources "Ministry of Petroleum". Atef Sadek has graduated from Cairo University, Petroleum Engineering branch, 1973 with an overall grade very good.

Said Riad – President

Said Riad is the founder and President for Sahara Technical Institute since 2013 and he is the CEO of SAPESCO Africa since 2015. In May 2000, Said Riad joined SAPESCO. His 18-years career with SAPESCO spans a range of management positions; Joined SAPESCO as Technical Manager for Measurements Services. In February 2009, Said Riad became SAPESCO Egypt country manager until 2012 when he was appointed as a President for SAPESCO Measurements services providing all the Geo Markets with the required support. Prior to joining SAPESCO, he was working since 1989 till 2000 in different international services companies start with Halliburton, Geoservices and Expro. He has escalated through various management positions Starting as international field Engineer. Said Riad graduated from the faculty of Engineering in 1988, earned his Master Degree in Marketing from Arab Academy in 2006.

Mostafa Shabana – General Manager

Mostafa Shabana joined Sahara Petroleum Services (SAPESCO) in 2014. He currently holds the position of “General Manager” of Sahara Technical Institute and the “Chief Business Development Officer” in SAPESCO - Africa. He has over 25 years of experience in multinational companies: Petro-chemicals, Refining, and Lubricants Technical & Commercial businesses Management. He is held up, by Shell Co., as an example of “how to develop high performing teams”. Mostafa Shabana conducted different courses / seminars i.e. Techno-Marketing (ADNOC), Different Technical Seminars for Shell Technical Staff & Customers, Introduction to “Safety & Loss Prevention”, etc… Mostafa Shabana received his B. Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering – Cairo University 1974.

Mohamed Rabie – Marketing & Sales General Manager

Mohamed Rabie is the Marketing & Sales General Manager of Sahara technical Institute and also is the Marketing General Manager for SAPESCO - Africa. In his role, he leads the business development and marketing functions of Sahara Technical Institute and SAPESCO – Africa. Mohamed holds an Engineering bachelor’s degree from Faculty of Engineering of Ain Sham University and Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Arab Academy Graduate School of Business AAGSB. He has over 20 years of experience in oilfield services and participated in the expansion plans of SAPESCO in different markets. He has spent ten years in oilfield operations with SAPESCO Measurement Services in logging, perforations and wireline services and more than ten years in Marketing & Sales in different functions within the organization.
